Terms of Service
Last updated: March 26, 2026
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of OHANA, the dataset management platform operated by the Parker Jones Neural Processing Lab. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
If you are using OHANA on behalf of an institution or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these terms.
Permitted Use
You may use OHANA only for lawful research, administrative, and dataset management purposes consistent with your authorization level and any dataset-specific restrictions communicated by the platform or dataset owner.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of uploaded, stored, or downloaded data complies with applicable law, ethics requirements, institutional obligations, consent restrictions, and third-party license terms.
Accounts and Access
Access to private datasets and administrative functions is limited to approved users. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.
We may suspend or revoke access if we reasonably believe that an account has been compromised, is being used in violation of these terms, or creates a security or compliance risk.
User Content and Imports
You retain responsibility for the datasets, files, metadata, and other content you upload, link, or import into OHANA. You must have the rights and permissions necessary to provide that content to the platform and to authorize any import from external services such as Google Drive.
By using the platform, you grant us the limited rights necessary to host, process, copy, transmit, and display that content for the purpose of operating and improving OHANA.
Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time, including features, storage behavior, access controls, and integrations. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Prohibited Conduct
You may not use OHANA to interfere with platform operations, bypass access controls, probe for vulnerabilities, upload malicious code, infringe third-party rights, or misuse data in a way that violates law, ethics approvals, or institutional policy.
Disclaimers
OHANA is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non- infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Parker Jones Neural Processing Lab and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, goodwill, or profits, arising from or related to your use of OHANA.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. Updated terms will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date, and continued use of the platform after the update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Questions about these terms can be directed through the contact information provided on the OHANA homepage.
